Project idea and main conceprts
1. PROJECT IDEA AND MAIN CONCEPTS:
Based on:
The European Youth Strategy 2019-2027
The KA2 objectives of the Erasmus + Program for modernization of education, training and youth work;
The Strategic Framework for European Cooperation in Education and Training (ET 2020)
The Digital Agenda for Europe;
The Strategy for a credible enlargement perspective and a stronger EU commitment to the countries of the Western Balkans
The EC Plan for the Recovery of Europe, the Bulgarian Memory Foundation (Bulgaria), the Association for Macedonian-Bulgarian Friendship (Republic of North Macedonia) and GLAS (Serbia) are implanting this project entitled: “Entrepreneurship and Connectivity of Young People in the Balkans through Creativity and Culture”.
2. MAIN OBJECTIVE:
The main objective of the project is through creative and cultural tools to create an innovative methodology for the development of entrepreneurship and creativity among young people in the Balkans, to be developed and tested with 15 youth workers and 60 young people (50% of them disadvantaged), *contributing to their personal development, active civic participation and connection; *strengthening the capacity of organizations engaged in the cultural sphere and *representing an open educational resource.
3. SUB-OBJECTIVES:
Analysis and synthesis of good European practices in the field of intercultural connectivity, creativity and entrepreneurship, with a focus on young people, incl. disadvantaged;
Elaboration of an innovative methodology for the development of entrepreneurship and creativity, applicable in formal and non-formal education;
Testing the methodology among young people, youth workers, and stakeholders, encouraging their commitment and civic participation;
Creating an online platform (in accordance with the methodology) with activities, videos and exercises that stimulate the creation of creative content (OER);
Development of digital skills in order to accelerate the digital transformation of creative and cultural activities, making them accessible to the maximum number of people in the conditions of COVID-19 pandemic;
Development of the creative potential of youth in the Balkans, contributing to the sustainability of the cultural and creative sectors;
Development of civic and intercultural competencies;
Building connectivity between EU citizens and the Western Balkans, promoting European identity and culture as a key factor for social inclusion and mutual understanding;
Strengthening the international dimension in the activities of the partners.
4. NUMBER AND PROFILE OF THE PARTICIPANTS:
15 youth workers (24-30 years old) – 5 from each of the 3 organizations;
60 young people (16-24 years old) – 20 from Bulgaria, Republic of North Macedonia and Serbia (50% of them – disadvantaged due to socio-economic and / or ethno-religious factors);
5. DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES:
A. Preparation; B. Realization, including:
Preparation of a Report with good European practices in the field of intercultural connectivity, creativity and entrepreneurship;
Conduction of events with youth workers and young people to develop an innovative methodology;
Creation of digital tools for practical application of the methodology-online platform and educational videos, open educational resources (OER);
C. Dissemination of project results;
D. Analysis of the results and the possibilities for their multiplication and sustainability;
E. Final report.
6. EXPECTED RESULTS AND IMPACT:
The expected results for the participants, the target groups, the applicant organizations and the stakeholders correspond to the main objective and specific objectives of the project. The desired positive impact at local, regional, national, European and international level is through:
the transfer of good European practices; stimulating active civic and social participation with inspiring examples of the key role that young people play in preserving Europe’s cultural heritage and realizing creative initiatives;
the development, testing and application of innovative methodology and digital tools.
7. POTENTIAL LONG-TERM BENEFITS: The project will contribute to improving the connectivity between young people in the Balkan region in its various aspects – digital, economic and intercultural, which is a prerequisite for its sustainable socio-economic development. In the Republic of North Macedonia and Serbia, the project will have added value in terms of building a European identity and self-awareness among young people, given the European perspective of their countries in the Western Balkans, on which the Erasmus + Programme puts a special focus is the new Programming Period 2021- 2027.
